Kim Teevan has worked in the event and entertainment industry for over 20 years in many different capacities. She likes to think that her varied experience has been an asset to her event management business, but it could be said that she just has a short attention span.

She began her educational foray with a BA from SUNY Albany in upstate New York before moving to San Francisco to acquire a Masters degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University. She studied to be a college professor and earned a teaching certificate. After being told that there were no teaching jobs available in the Bay Area she quickly shifted to a career in Advertising and Marketing.

She worked for both Foote, Cone and Belding and McCann Erickson as a media planner before taking a position in media sales for Branham Newspaper Group. She then became a partner in a video production business where she produced an assortment of sales and entertainment videotapes for clients such as IBM, Merrill Publishing, SOS construction and Moller International an aerospace firm.

She became publisher of an investigative humor magazine called “The Nose”, creating publicity plans and producing promotional events, as well as being responsible for the accounting and payroll. During this time she was also an artists representative for Bobby McFerrin, who is best known as the “Don’t Worry Be Happy” guy.

Her strong background in advertising, marketing, publishing, media, and PR gives her the expertise to look beyond production of an event, into defining and reaching target markets and positioning. She possesses exceptional managerial, organizational and communication skills that result in successful productions that build consensus and create an atmosphere of cooperation and enthusiasm.
